Aurora

Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is an Norwegian song writer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well welcomed by blogs about music. The artist has already recorded two highly-profile cover songs Half the World Away by the group Oasis to promote a Christmas ad from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. The singer gained further attention from a post by Katy Perry where Perry endorsed her track Runaway. Celebrate her special birthday. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is that of finding an attic piano and being fascinated by the sounds it would produce. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents, May Britt Aksnes and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to pursue music more as a hobby than a profession. They advised her to compose. She is credited with Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, along with Bjork for being among her inspirations. Her mom encouraged her to play her music publicly, not so that she could be famous, but to let others know how important they are and what they can do for humanity. Piano was her first instrument at the age of six, and she started writing music when she turned nine. Family members didn't even have any idea about it until she was 14. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. She says she just likes to compose songs. For her, music is the best method of feeling anything.
